"the demerit?" yes, when created by your self, in addition to the soda creating operation, you should prepare and clear off the materials or instrument.
In regard to prepare and clear, the total time you should spend will be changed due to the your way of action. please use your brain to shorten the total time.
4. Please imagine that KIRITSUBO is mere a simple structure which consist of 2 bottles and sealed up each other. (for your digestion, please not imaging the other parts:a pressure gauge, a relief valve, first of all)
5. The basical way to produce pop are forcing and touching the carbon dioxide into the beverage or water at high pressure. in KIRITSUBO, the CO2 is generated by the reaction between citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, and water in the bottle(A).

6. You have to imagine the condition of "citric acid", "sodium bicarbonate", "water", "carbon dioxide", and "beverage" , when creating soda with KIRITSUBO. It means "Using brain is necessaly" in the movie.
This is for normal strength soda making case. Though about how to use KIRITSUBO to see the movie is easy way, I describe the way to create soda with KIRITSUBO.
I. Pour 150-200ml(5-7 fl oz) water into the PET bottle1 equiped with a yellow filter.
II. Add 1 cup(30cc) of carbon bicarbonate into the bottle1, and then 1cup of sodium bicarbonatedinto the bottle1.
III. Pour around 500ml of the cooled beverage or water into the bottles 2, which capacity is 1000ml.
IV. Set bottle1 and bottle2 to KIRITSUBO and be sure they are sealing up.
V. Manipulate 2 valves to secure the sealing up of inner KIRITSUBO, and pass the air way between bottle1 and bottle2.
VI. Shake the KIRITSUBO to combine water, sodium bicarbonate and citric acid in the bottle1, and then carbon dioxide will be generated.
VII. Checking the presuure gauge indication, Shake the KIRITSUBO frequently when the inner pressure is rised some extent. it's because of reducing the inner pressure, by dissolving the CO2 into the bevarage. It's tecknick to make soda efficiently; (when liquid is shaked, the part of touching CO2 will be increased. the dissolving part is the face between requid and CO2, not inner requid.)
VIII. If you judge the good timing to finish making preferable tart soda, manipulate the valve to remove the bottle1.
IX. Shake violently KIRITUSBO to promote dissolving CO2 into bevarage perfectly.
X. Manipulate valve to reduce inner pressure to atmospheric pressure, then remove bottle2 from KIRITSUBO. The carbonated water is created, completely!
XI. Pour the carbonated beverage of bottle2 into the glass or another bottle.
7. KIRITSUBO consists of hard material and the wall thickness is so thick; in deed, it composed of POM (polyoxymethylene), PVC (polycarbonate), stainless steel. it means KIRITSUBO has very tough parts.

About relief valves, this is for the inner pressure maintaining safety range; it is going to activate and then relese the inner air to let the inner pressure reduced less than 6.0MPa, when the inner pressure is 6.0MPa or more.
The pressure gauge, which you can monitor the inner pressure with, is also installed ; you must be worried when the instrument has high inner pressure, but don't worry you must be relieved to confirm the condition that is shown with the numeric value of the gauge's indicator at safety range.
We have been using KIRITUSBO and creating soda for two years, but there are no trouble at all.
Therefore, When you use the instrument within common sense, the trouble such as burst never happen.
Don't treat the instrument dangerously. such as followings: Deactivation of the relief valve by adding the adhesive substance on it, exposing the instrument's part's in the direct sunlight or hot substance, using dry ice to generate CO2, scratch up the instrument especially PET bottle.

In the normal safety use, The machine cannot provide the higher concentration carbonated water than Wilkinson soda, which you can check in the movie. In addition to this, The concentration control of soda is also difficult because of instant CO2 emitting.
As a result from above description, KIRITSUBO has a merit: low running cost, high concentration carbonated water, controllig the carbonation strength.
KIRITSUBO has a demerit: taking production man-hours, using your brain when creating soda.

Comparison with the soda pop maker kit with the CO2 gas cylinder.
There are peoples who can fabricate the soda making kit with the parts including CO2 gas cylinder, which contains the carbon dioxide compressed ― around 140 atm;
they installs the kit with a regulator, a reducer, a pressure-resistant tube, coupling plug, hand made bottle cap, pressure gauge, relief valve.
The similarity between KIRITSUBO and the kit of CO2 gas cylinder is the mechanism of carbonation; the carbonation will be accomplished by forcing CO2 into the water.
However, some elemet are diferent between two: Materials, method of creation, running cost, installation environment, safety.
In the case of gas cylinder kit, the CO2 to water (or beverage) is directly provided from the CO2 tank. The procedure of creation soda pop is only preparing cold beverage and installing the bottle to the kit, and CO2-output controlling.
The cost is cheap, around US$0.15 per 16.9oz (US$0.15 per 500ml).
About the installation enviroment, it is required to be treated carefully and placed at the proper site: e.g. away from the heat place, secure up-right position.
The safety of CO2 cylinder kit rely on your installation skill and administrative ability, so We can not tell you whether it's safe or danger. If you want to fabricate Co2 cylinder kit, I recommend you to study about the tecknical matter.
After all, "the soda pop maker kit with the CO2 gas cylinder" has the merit of cheaper running cost and shorter time of creation than KIRITSUBO. However it need the knowledge and skill because of the treating very high pressure, approximately 140 atm.

Comparison with the method only casting citric acid and sodium bicarbonate into the beverage, directory.
The directly casting citric acid and sodium bicarbonate into the beverage is the cheapest, fastest, and most safe in all methods I described above.
